Mother's Day Poem (Original)

Dear Mummy,

Mummy is a word that we would not be sick of calling each day.

Because the word means much more than just a word to us.

You are funnier than Mr Bean,

You are fluffier than a Bunny,

You are sweeter than Honey,

You are more caring than a Care Bear,

You are more loving than Mother Theresa,

You are more generous than Oprah Winfrey,

You are more responsible than the Prime Minister,

You are more efficient than a Computer,

You are more protective of our safety than an Angel,

You are more energetic than a Sumo Wrestler,

What makes you so special? You wonder.

Because you are our Mother.

Mummy, you're such a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care,
You give guidance and advice whenever we ask,
It seems to us that you can do almost anything.
Thank you for everything that you've done for us,
And given so generously to us.

You are like an angel sent to us,

Never fail to melt our hearts.

We love you more than you know,

And respect you highly.

If we had our choice of mothers,
We would definitely choose you repeatedly!

Because you are our Mother.

For all the sacrifices that you made behind curtains,

We might not know or comprehend,

But we truly appreciate them all.

The unconditional love that you poured out on us,

Makes us who we are today.
Because you are our Mother.

You mean the world to us,
Without you, our world would be meaningless.

Though we have never said it before,
We love you, our amazing mother,
You're a God-sent blessing to us.
